About the Oliver TwistThe Oliver Twist Country Inn is run by John Spencer and his wife Kelly. They provide a very welcoming atmosphere at The Oliver Twist Country Inn in Guyhirn - situated between the three major towns of Wisbech, Peterborough and March. John has been a chef for some 20 years, and trained in some of the finest restaurants across the country before becoming a head chef in his own right. Kelly joined the ranks in 2006 as John’s front of house manager, and after re-establishing a country pub together in Leicester, they both moved to Guyhirn in 2008 to take on The Oliver Twist.
Dining and AccommodationThe team of chefs are trained in the art of traditional cuisine and they use only the best quality, locally sourced ingredients - and where possible, free-range produce. With a wide choice of freshly cooked food, there's something on the menu for everyone to enjoy. For an overnight stay we have twin and Double rooms available with the option of an extra bed. All rates include an impressive complimentary breakfast comprising of, Coffee and Tea, Cereals, Fruit and Fruit Juice all followed by a traditional Full English Breakfast which is cooked to order.
Local ProduceThe restaurant is currently using pedigree Gloucester Old Spots from the Pig Pad at Ramsey Heights - for everything from traditional breakfast sausages to the more mouth-watering à la carte dishes. Prime steaks and other beef dishes are prepared using free-range Longhorn cattle reared at Spinney Abbey in Wicken Fen.
AtmosphereThe choice between the friendly country pub lounge and the more romantic separate restaurant area helps to ensure your dining experience is unique. The Oliver Twist Inn epitomises everything that is great about the traditional English pub - hearty food, friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.
